About Grizzly Peak Enterprises

After forty years of timber cutting experience, Albert Altmiller of Orofino, Idaho, crafted his first axe scabbard, marking the beginning of the Grizzly Peak story. He introduced these innovative scabbards to timber cutters in the Clearwater River country in the North Idaho Panhandle. For many years, during the peak of logging, Al's scabbards became essential timber cutting equipment for almost all the timber cutters in north Idaho and western Montana, eventually gaining recognition in Washington, Oregon, and California as well. Today, these eco-conscious adventure tools are also utilized on the east coast, in Canada, and Alaska.
