Grizzly Peak, a proud creation of Grizzly Enterprises, began more than 40 years ago when Albert Altmiller of Orofino, Idaho, crafted his first axe scabbard after decades of timber-cutting experience. He introduced the rugged, aluminum design to loggers in North Idaho's Clearwater River region, where it quickly became an essential tool in the woods.
As logging boomed, so did the demand for his scabbards. From the forests of North Idaho and Western Montana to the coasts of Oregon and California, his innovation became a trusted standard.
